Description
Pedasi is known as Panama’s tuna coast and is one of the best fishing spots in the country. Here you can catch some of the most sought-after Pacific species, such as dorado, marlin, wahoo, amberjack, grouper, various snapper species (including cubera, red, and yellow), and roosterfish. Fishing depends on the season, so please contact us if you are interested in fishing for a particular species. The fish tend to come closer to shore during the summer months (January to April), when the winds are strong and the sea is rough. The fishing boat has a 3.6-meter (12-foot) canopy for sun protection.
There are two options for sport fishing tours in Pedasi:
Isla Iguana and Fishing: combine your fishing trip with a day trip to Iguana Island. With this option, guests can choose how much time they want to spend relaxing and sunbathing on the beach versus fishing. You can also opt for a full day of fishing near the island. Try trolling to catch small fish like snapper.
Open Sea: serious fishermen would prefer to spend the whole day sports fishing in Pedasi. This option allows you to go places further out like Los Frailes to find schools of tuna and dorado.
