Sports Fishing Charter

Description

Pedasi is known as the tuna coast of Panama and it is one of the best places to fish in Panama. Catch all the most sought after fishes of the Pacific including Mahi-mahi, marlin, wahoo, amberjack, grouper, several species of snapper including cubera, red and yellow, and rooster fish. Fishing depends on seasons, so please consult us if you are interested in catching a specific fish. Fish species come nearer to the shore in the summer (January through April) when the wind is strong and the sea is rough. Fishing boat has a roof of 12 feet to help shade from the sun.

There are three options for sport fishing charters from Pedasi:

Isla Iguana and Fishing: combine your fishing trip with a day tour to Isla Iguana. With this option clients can choose how much time they want to spend lounging and bathing in the beach versus fishing. This option can also be for a full day of fishing close to the island. Go trolling for smaller fishes like snapper.

Los Frailes and Open Sea: serious fishermen would prefer to spend the whole day doing sports fishing in Pedasi. This option allows you to go further out to find schools of tuna and dorado.

Open Sea: this option takes you even further away into the open sea. The price is higher because more money is spent on fuel.

Available: year round.
Time: 6 to 7 hours.

What to bring? Hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, long sleeve shirt, towel, food, beverages, and cooler with ice (for food and drinks). Those going to Iguana Island need to bring ID, bathing suit and a change of clothes (optional).

Important information: up to four people can go on the sport fishing tour. Two or three people more can join in case the trip is combined with Isla Iguana.
