Reactor Venao Festival

There are several festivals in Playa Venao throughout the year, but the one that draws the biggest crowds is Reactor Venao. The 2026 version of this festival will be held between March 13 to the 26. This is a private and exclusive festival that is hosted once per year in El Sitio Hotel in Playa Venao. Playa Venao is one of the most beautiful beaches in Panama, offering magical experiences for those attending the festival.

Radio Venao (formerly known as Ibiza Sonica) is the echo of Reactor Venao. This festival is done a few times per year, including New Years, November and June. It is very similar, but more open to the public. Expect some serious all night partying with electronic music at these events. We go to bed early, so you will never see us a this festival.

Playa Venao is a ghost town during festival days, since everybody is sleeping to recuperate from the prior night. However, there are wellness activities, workshops and even kid friendly events during the day. Some are open to the public even if they are not participating in the festival like the Reactor Market where local people can sell what they make. We also have a the Fresh Friday Market at Coucou Crazy.

Reactor Venao Tickets

This festival in Playa Venao can be attended by invitation only. 600 tickets are sold with priority to friends and family of the organizers, as well as the extended Playa Venao and Pedasi community. Even if you are not attending the festival, these two plus weeks have a different feel in Playa Venao, as everybody will experience some part of the Reactor festival.

Those interested in participating can apply for one of the 150 “vines” tickets which will be available for the general public on the website of Reactor Venao. In order to obtain one of these tickets you need to be above 25 years of age. People attending reactor for the first time can apply for the “full ride” or “first ride” ticket.

The full ride refers to a ticket which covers the entire duration of the festival. The 2026 edition has 16 days and nights, from March 13-29. This ticket has a cost of $875 with 50% discount for Panamanians and residents. Every single night has a music program which is included in the ticket cost. Visitors can enjoy the wellness offerings during the day. The complete journey allows you to immerse yourself in the entire Reactor Venao experience.

First week (March 13 to 21) is the opening week of this festival in Playa Venao. This ticket gives you access to the first 9 days. Visitors will get to go to the opening ceremony up to March 22 at midnight. It includes four magical sunrises, wellness, workshops, and connections to the magical community. The second week (March 22 to 29) gives you access to the last seven days with the same activities as the first week, plus the reactor burn at the end of the festival. Both tickets cost $525 with a 50% discount for Panamanians and residents.

It is possible to volunteer to build the structure of the festival in exchange for a ticket. Every year they look for people who have construction skills required to build the structures on the beach which are burned at the closing of Reactor Venao. Co-create with Reactor Venao

The reactor festival in Playa Venao is a gathering focused on human connections. This music and art event is a playground for fun-seekers, dancers, and creators. People can apply for co-creation on the website of the event through one of their forms in order to be part of the event. Applications close about a month prior to the festival.

Categories include: artists, wellness, volunteers, visual media, workshops and performing arts. Those who participate in the event will get free tickets. For most people co-creating this is not a paid gig. Volunteers will be compensating depending on the level of their contribution.

Artists participating in Reactor Venao will help create the artistic vision and technical needs of an installation. This festival in Playa Venao celebrates “immersive, interactive, and conscious art.” Performing artists can showcase their work, vision and passion in the festival. Each artist must envision and organize the resources needed for their performance. Photographers, videographers, and video mapping artists are also needed.

Wellness practitioners will “weave a parallel reality rooted in love, creativity, and authentic expression” in the festival. Week one is focused on embodiment so it is a week to “come back to ourselves, inhabiting the body, grounding, presence, and deep human connection.” While week two is focused on making space meaning “creation, releasing the old, transforming patterns, and opening space for something new to emerge.” Sessions last one to three hours including activities, intellectual workshops, movement sessions, spiritual teaching, art expressions and kids and family.
